Donation Program

Thank you very much for your participation in the Braden River Soccer Club (BRSC) TOPSoccer program.  We are pleased to provide this program to all area athletes without any registration fees or other financial requirements for participation.

The Fall 2010 TOPS program is funded through a variety of sources, including the following grants:

  • Lakewood Ranch Community Fund of the Manatee Community Foundation:  $3000 cash grant provided in the Fall of 2009 (used to fund last season, with the remainder helping fund 2010);

  •  Adidas/ USYSA TOPSoccer: $2,250 equipment grant (used for soccer balls, backpacks, pumps);

  •  Honeywell employee community service donation:  $500 cash grant

In addition to these grants, local community businesses also contribute goods and services to the program, including Water Boy, which has provided bottled water every season we have had a program.

Beginning this season, I am introducing a more formal way for participating families to help offset TOPS operating costs in a way that is completely voluntary.  For those families who can afford donations, and want to do so, I have established several different funding opportunities linked directly to program expenses.  The following table describes each.

Let me reiterate that these donations are completely voluntary, and if interested will be kept confidential.  Those families who make donations will be recognized at the award ceremony in November.  Donations are tax-deductible; BRSC is a non-profit, 501(c)3 corporation.

Please consider a donation to keep our program funded for this and future seasons.  If you are interested in making a donation of goods and services, there are certainly opportunities to do so.  Also, please contact your employer’s human resources and corporate responsibility departments to inquire if they make such donations.  I was pleased to learn that my new employer (Honeywell) had such a program, and have thus obtained a donation from them.

If you have any questions, please contact Program Coordinator Dave Robinson at 941-358-0497, or email drobinson018@msn.com.

Thanks again for your participation and I look forward to an excellent year!
Coach Dave
