TRYOUTS
We are happy to announce record attendance at this year's try-outs. Thank you to everyone who attended. We still have a few openings so if you missed our try-outs, please contact club President, Brenden Moriarty, for information on what may be available. We believe in providing all local community soccer players an opportunity to participate in the game of soccer at a level that meets their developmental needs (i.e., physical, mental, and emotional status). Team Program Description: Select Teams- Is the club's traveling competitive program. They represent our club when they are playing other clubs. The Boys and Girls teams compete from ages Under 9 to Under 19. Premier Teams- Our Premier Level Soccer program is emerging for those teams that have reached Division 1 and regional tournament levels and have attained a manner of success in the highest competitive level. Many of the team players' are pursuing collegiate soccer careers and beyond. The program consists of the development of both individual and team skills and tactics, while emphasizing the highest character, athletic skills, and good sportsmanship. An additional player surcharge covers the additional cost associated with this program if a player elects to stay with a 'premier team.'
The goal of the program is to give each player a solid foundation of soccer skills, to help each player gain knowledge of the game and to balance the desire to win with the goal of insuring that all players are given the opportunity to learn, play and contribute on many levels.
At this level of competition, success and fun do not come without some extra effort. The will to win is not enough, the player must also have the will to prepare to win. Games and practices are scheduled more frequently than the recreational league program. For the good of the player and the team, players are expected to attend practice, to practice properly and to do all of the other things which are necessary if he/she is to become a skilled soccer player and a contributing part of a competitive soccer team. Coaches are certified and pre-screened by the Club.
